I really like this color combination. Although pairing the two might be a little bit expected, there’s a reason for that…they look great together!  One of the old school fashion rules (which by the way are for the most part ridiculous) says that redheads shouldn’t wear red. Silly rules! I like it and I think it complements my coloring. Now yellow, that’s another story. I very rarely wear yellow near my face, not a good look for me. The one exception is a neon yellow cardigan that belonged to my mother, I wear that on occasion because I feel close to her when I do.  I like wearing bright colors all year. Darker colors are popular in the colder months, but I always like to throw in some color. I’d wear this red top in the cooler months with a cardi or blazer thrown over it for warmth. As for the shoes…a shot of leopard print is always a good thing!

…well, maybe not ever, but it is my favorite! As I mentioned before, I get these little obsessions over things. I get in my head that I love something and then I hunt and acquire until I’m satisfied. And believe me, Pinterest doesn’t help with my obsessing! Anyway, over the last few months I’ve gotten several different baseball tees~some with short sleeves, some with long. I stumbled across this little slice of perfection at Express a few weeks ago. It is the perfect combo of cotton/modal which gives it just the right amount of floaty drapiness. What?! You’ve never heard the term “floaty drapiness”? You know what I mean though, right? It lays just right, and it’s cool and comfortable. It’s a bit sheer, but wear a nude bra under it and you’re good to go. Oh, and one more thing that added to the perfection…the top is $24.90 and if you buy two the second is $9.90, plus I found a $10 off code at retailmenot.com. The total for 2 tees was $24.80. Yay me!

Coral and lace…two of my faves combined! This dress is so comfy, perfect for just hanging out. Or it could be dressed up for a fancier occasion, just throw on some heels or wedges and a statement necklace and you’re good to go.  Maybe I’ll have to do a post with the dress spiffed up at a later date! You can do so much with this dress, it’s like a big bright blank canvas. I chose my turquoise sandals for a contrasting pop of color, but any neutral would work just as well.

I’ll admit it…I have a small obsession with lace, as my collection of lace tops and skirts can prove. Actually, I have several things I’m obsessed with right now, lace being just one of them! Baseball tees, all things coral or turquoise, skull bracelets, floral skirts…the list goes on and on. I scored this top at Sears for just $12.98, so of course I had to get it in black too. What smart, lace-obsessed girl wouldn’t? I paired with a pair of boyfriend shorts because comfort is key. I tried it out with both wedges and flats, and I think it works equally well with both, don’t you?

Back in February I eagerly awaited the Prabal Gurung for Target collection to finally be available. I was so excited when I snapped up this super pretty peplum top. When it arrived I tore open the package aaannnddd…it didn’t quite fit! Bummer. Double bummer because it was sold out online and at my local Target. I held on to it though because while it was too tight, I could wear it if I had to. I prowled around Ebay obsessively until I finally found it in the next size up and for the same price it was at Target with free shipping! Woohoo! I returned the one I had with only 2 days to spare on the 90 day return policy. I was a happy girl!
