This is my rendition of those ads in magazines that show a model lounging about in the middle of a field somewhere (or on giant boulders, frolicking on a beach, at the summit of Mt. Everest…) in clothing that is most definitely not conducive to said activities. Those photos always crack me up so I thought I’d give it a shot. And can I just say “windswept” is an understatement? The wind was blowing so hard at one point I had to run and catch my camera before it toppled to the ground. Needless to say I have a ton of shots of my hair blown across my face, and not in that sexy windblown sort of way. More in the weatherman standing on the shore as a hurricane makes landfall sort of way.

Oh Debbie, that skirt is fabulous, loving the print. Lol to your poses, I did a review where I looked like Cousin It in all photographs due to the wind!
#Welcometotheweekend
Haha! Thanks for stopping by.
Yeah, those pictures where the models look all fabulous in the middle of the wilderness do look pretty cool…and make me laugh at the same time. But nature does make a pretty awesome backdrop!
Yes it does.
I love this skirt and I love this look, you look wonderful.
Thank you!
You are too funny! Very pretty skirt and perfect shoes for it.
What a romantic and feminine skirt!! You are too funny with the wind blowing through your hair in nature, lol, love it!

Thanks Monica!
We had that wind here yesterday.
I love that you are getting out in a field and taking photos of yourself. I need to start doing that this year. I’m too lazy and shy to be exposed like that.
That skirt is gorgeous.

It does keep the photos more interesting. This field was hidden behind my daughter’s gymnastics gym. I’m pretty self-conscious about it too. Isn’t that strange considering we put the pictures on the internet for all the world to see?
I love baseball tees and I like how you styled it with a really feminine skirt! It’s a great contrast!
Thank you Anna!
I’m in love with this look! The casual baseball tee with the pretty floral maxi is adorable! Lol on the windswept thing, I guess dealing with the weather is one of the many joys of being a fashion blogger.

Thanks Tiffany! We do have to work around the whims of Mother Nature that’s for sure.
You brought the flowers to the field! Such a pretty, pretty skirt!!!

you look very pretty
Hugs Beata
Thank you Beata! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.
Wow that’s such a pretty skirt and adorable pink flats
I always laugh at those models too, but, i have done a fair share of posts where I am somewhere ridiculous in pretty clothing (generally up trees) anyway, I love this skirt, it’s awesome
Your own personal fan blower - mother nature! Take that high-priced models! You look fantastic and I like how you mixed the casual tee with the maxi. I’m also on the hunt for some pink flats this season, maybe more pale pink since everything I have is so bright. But these have me rethinking my strategy since your bold pink is so gorgeous!

You did a good job of it Debbie, the photos look great! Loving the skirt and shoes.
Haha!! Love these shots… you should share a few of the outtakes.
The skirt is great! I love how you pair a “fancier” piece with a more simple piece like your tee. You’re the best at that!!! Thanks for linking up for Passion For Fashion! Pinning this look!
Oh Debbie, you are fun and funny. That skirt is so dang wonderful. I don’t like long skirts on me {have you ever seen me in one? no} but I could go for this one with the border hem print like that. Fun. Back in the 90’s I wore long skirt and I was always tripping on them and falling down and such, so I decided since I am only 5’5″ that I can do better with shorter skirts anyway. Thanks for being at FiF, my friend!!!
I love your skirt. Xoxo http://www.lamodaevita.com
