Did you ever have one of those days…
THE STORY
…I’m talking about one of those days where you get up in the morning, have a cup of coffee or three, get ready for work; you know, the usual routine. Then you go out in the world and Bam! Bitch slapped by reality. There are few things worse than a stealth bad day; you turn your back for a minute and suddenly your surveillance blimp has gone rogue. Today was one of those days for me. Yes, it could’ve been worse; I could’ve been the dude responsible for tethering the blimp. I’m not whining or looking for sympathy, just stating the facts. Everyone has a rough one every now and again and we all survive. But I do have to say again (for like the billionth time), I have solid reasons for liking to be around my dogs more than most people.
THE OUTFIT
How about this sequin jacket my friends? Is it not one of the most sublime creations ever? I don’t thrift/vintage shop very often, but when I do I hit it out of the park. I found this little gem on Ebay a few years ago. It’s one of those rare items that when I do wear it, I can be pretty certain that no one else in the known universe is wearing the same thing. It’s also one of those items that does absolutely all of the talking for the entire outfit so everything else needs to be low key. Hence, the boyfriend jeans, t-shirt, black booties and single strand of pearls.
THE TIP
When wearing a really stand out flashy piece, keep everything else subtle. If it involves a lot of bling and sparkle like this jacket, keep the jewelry to a minimum as well; it would be overkill.
