After wearing my vintage velvet maxi dress last week, I developed a little bit of a crush…

…in light of that fact I’ve been stalking any number of drool-worthy velvet pieces online. I thought that perhaps I shouldn’t be greedy and so I am sharing some of my Shein finds with you.

The fabulous thing about velvet is it’s versatility. Just about anything, from dresses to jackets to shoes, can be made from this sumptuous fabric. Since it’s currently trending, velvet pieces are pretty easy to come by. Typically I shy away from things that everyone is wearing, but my love for velvet outweighs its current trendiness. And as long as a personal spin is added (like my moto jacket and rugged boots), even a trendy piece can be made your own.

You nail it — velvet is “sumptuous.” I think I visit your blog for the vocabulary. 🙂

mmmmmm velevttttt. there is nothing like velvet. i have a velvet loaner kimono right now that I do NOT want to send back, but it’s wayyy out of my price range to keep. think i’ll hang onto it to wear again on thanksgiving and then back it will go.

i always wanted an olive green velvet sofa. but really, with the animals, that would be ridiculous. it would be like a giant lint brush.

are *you* adding to your velvet collection? what piece can YOU not resist??

Oh, wouldn’t a velvet sofa be the absolute best??? But ya, four dogs, one of which is a sheltie with super shedding powers, would make that a hot mess.
And yes actually I am….gotta say that brown duster and the burgundy slip dress have me crushin’ hard! 🙂
