Today is Day Two of the boho inspired looks that Ada of Elegance & Mommyhood and I are bringing your way this week…
THE STORY
I’d have to say that this is probably the dress that sparked the recent boho phase of my FOCD. I don’t know what it was about it. I saw it, and I had to have it. That’s often how I know that I really, really should buy something; if I see it and then obsess over it like a 20 year old with a hot new boyfriend, then I figure I have to give in and buy it already. And I’ve been on a boho bender ever since. I figure one of these days I’ll wake up bleary eyed and buried in a pile of fringe and slouchy sweaters with too long sleeves wondering where the past three months went.
THE OUTFIT
First of all, how boho adorable are Ada’s halter and flare jeans? The boots and sweet floral bag finish it off perfectly. Make sure you stop by Elegance & Mommyhood for all of the deets.
I first wore this boho dress back when it was 100 degrees with a billion percent humidity. It made the perfect heat friendly sundress, but it’s also making a smooth transition into Fall layered over skinny jeans with pumps and a cocoon cardigan on top. And I just wore it the other day with a turtleneck, jeans and booties because that’s how a girl styles a sundress when it’s snowing. Yes. I said snowing. But I digress; back to the outfit. I knew when I scored this dress it would be perfect all year round, and I was right. It’s light enough to be both cool in the heat on it’s own and layered with other pieces without adding bulk in cooler weather.
THE TIP
Don’t automatically relegate all of your summer clothing to storage for the Winter. Put some thought into each item, and see if you can come up with some ingenious ways to layer so that you’re getting more mileage and versatility out of your wardrobe.

Great post and adorable shoes!! I am all for wearing my boho sundresses, year ’round! I mix them with Emu boots, leggings and long sweaters in the Winter. I like wearing those the bight colors and happy prints in the gray of winter to liven things up!
