Apparently my Kindle has been keeping tabs on me…
THE STORY
…or should I say both of my Kindles, which kind of doubles the creepiness. I bought a new Kindle a few months ago so that my husband could have one to watch movies on. I read constantly; I mean I have a seriously obscene amount of books stored in the cloud. And on a side note…exactly what is the cloud? And where is this mysterious and omnipotent cloud located? Is it simply ether floating somewhere in space? Or is it some giant megalomaniacal machine lurking in some undisclosed location just waiting to take over humankind? Anyway, I’m not sure that my two Kindles aren’t in on the takeover of the human race.
The other day I forgot my Kindle at work. Panic attack much? Like how am I going to curl up on my couch and read without my Kindle??? Then I remember, the second Kindle. When it was time to settle down for the evening, I snatched the new book I had downloaded on my other Kindle out of the cloud (the scary, ever-present cloud) and proceeded to read. The next day when I opened the book on the Kindle I had left at work I get this message from, um, my Kindle. It basically said, “Hey, you were on page 72 of this book on Kindle 1 yesterday. Do you want to go to that page now?” Wait, what? How do you know what I was doing yesterday with another Kindle? Are you following me? Using some sort of stalker app? What the hell? Yes, I know there is a logical explanation for this. And yes, I know this makes me sound like some old lady mountain hermit who thinks her toaster is high tech, but still….it creeps me out that my devices know what I’m up to when they aren’t even with me.
THE OUTFIT
I recently received this super pretty chiffon dress compliments of GCGme. They are known for selling beautiful maxi dresses online, but in light of the fact I don’t often go the maxi route I chose a short dress. Me being me, I decided I wanted to do something different with it. That led to belting it and throwing on a pair of distressed skinny jeans underneath. I was feeling all Greek goddess-like with all of the yummy floaty chiffon. Okay, so a Greek goddess in ripped up jeans and peep toe ankle boots, a bad ass Greek goddess then. If I was a going out partying kind of girl, this dress would be smokin’ hot on it’s own with a pair of strappy stiletto heels and a sequin clutch don’t you think?
THE TIP
Just because a piece of clothing is meant to be worn a certain way, that doesn’t mean that you have to wear it that way. This dress is a perfect example. It was meant to be dressed up and taken out for a night on the town, but with the addition of distressed jeans, a belt and ankle boots it became something else entirely.

Thanks Tara! Have a great weekend! 🙂
Hahahaa, I didn’t know Kindles could do that. If I had a Kindle I wouldn’t want to have it stolen and would be scared for it to be lost, also. On the outfit front, that royal blue chiffon tunic is gorgeous and I agree with your tip. I can definitely see this dress more as a top or as a tunic than as a dress.

It is a pretty dress, but I just liked the way it flowed better with a belt and once it’s belted it a bit too short as a dress.
Stunning color!!!
