Floral Skater Skirt, Graphic Tee & Coral Blazer: It’s That Time Of Year

You know…that time of year when you absolutely adamantly refuse to wear another cable knit sweater or pair of boots. Like ever again. Or at least until next Fall when you’re dying to bust them out of storage. Even if we get that usual March snow that seems to happen most years, I will completely refuse to acknowledge it. Because you know, if you ignore something it just goes away, right? On the bright side there’s no snow or uber coldness forecast for the next week so maybe we’ll dodge that bullet this year.

It doesn’t get more Springy than this outfit. You are all aware by now of my love of skater skirts. (See here, here, and here). But this floral skater skirt may well be my favorite. It’s not just any floral; it’s pansies, and pansies are one of my favorite flowers so I imagine you’ll be seeing it around fairly often. I went with my “Fabulous” graphic tee to dress it down and the blazer to, well, dress it back up. How’s that for being all over the place?

Weather Wisdom: Coral Blazer, Bright Pink Tank Top, Khaki Shorts And Wedge Sandals

It was supposed to thunderstorm today, so being a fast learner after Friday’s rain soaked hair, I took my outfit shots in the morning before work. Smart girl…it was again pouring down rain when I left work. See, I’m pretty quick to catch on to things! The cool thing about the rain is the leaves have all popped out and everything is green and summery looking which is a welcome change from being buried in snow.
Today was the first day I liberated my most favoritest (yes, I know that’s not a real word) wedge sandals from storage. I scored them from JustFab last spring. I had seen a similar pair on Jennifer Aniston (who does no wrong in my book) and I had to have them. So I began prowling around the dark recesses of the Internet until I found an affordable pair. Since they have a platform along with the wedge, they are really comfortable and I can wear them all day, therefore you only get a one pair of shoes post today. I love the look of different shades of coral together so I paired my pinkish/coral tank with the coral blazer. I threw in a pop of turquoise and I was good to go.

Shades of Coral

Coral is one of my favorite colors. I’ve never seen anyone who doesn’t look good in coral. It’s a bright sunny color that somehow makes you feel happier when you wear it.  It highlights your tan (faux or otherwise), and it works equally well on fair skin. What’s not to love?  Even though they are obviously different, I consider both the blazer and the top to be coral. One is more on the orangey end of the spectrum, while the other is more on the pink end. Even so, they really play well together.  I picked the blazer up at JCPenney several months ago on clearance for just $10. Can’t beat that right? The jeans are my current favorites.  They’re my go to jeans when it’s too cool for shorts…which isn’t very often lately!
